Hillman Ferry Campground with My Sista’s

I can’t believe how beautiful it is here!  From our campsite I can see and smell water. I love playing in the water as you know by now!!! The campsites are spaced well apart with lots of trees surrounding us, but it is still so HOT!  🔥

M & D complimented me on my patience because it took them longer than normal to get setup. It was a horrible site to back a 30’ travel trailer into. Ugh! Once in place, the campsite was wonderful!

Bek and Milena arrived shortly thereafter. I got to run up and see their campsite on the small hill above us. Mom was working with me off leash; until someone around us, reported us. Ugh. There were no other dogs out or mom wouldn’t have done it. So, back on the leash I go. It’s so insulting, if they only knew how well behaved I am?!

We had a great time talking and playing with my sisters. I’m sad that their dog 🐕 Houdini wasn’t with them, but they are tent camping and it’s hard with a dog. They were excellent playmates! They took me hiking through the woods and playing in the water. They even took me to see some bison; but I was pretty tuckered out by then and needed a car nap!!!

While we were away, mom and dad got to visit outside with Libby & Ron, a looper couple they met on Bashi Creek off the Tombigbee River when they were all on the Loop. A fun day for all!

As always, I got to sample some fabulous food that we cooked and ate outside. Everyone is being so conscientious about social distancing, it’s painful to me. However one night, Dad and Milena celebrated belated birthdays with yummy cupcakes, candles and awful singing.

One day M & D drove us around to see Grand Rivers, KY and “Patti’s 1880 Settlement.” It had to be rebuilt after a fire. A really, cute tourist trap; it seemed to me, but very busy this day. We didn’t get out of the truck!

They also showed me Green Turtle Bay Marina, where they spent a week resting and repairing Moondance after traveling the Mississippi. It had very lush grass for doing my business,...such simple pleasures!!!

Staying outside all day and into the night was very tiring... I did enjoy listening to everyone’s stories and opinions, but I’m still a puppy, so I was ready for bed by nine; even though they kept going awhile longer...

All too soon we were packing up to leave. Despite, it being a technology blackhole;
I’m personally praying we return here! It’s just too lovely not too!
